Multibagger Stocks Meaning

Peter Lynch, the highly respected manager of Fidelity Investments Mutual Fund, coined the word “multibagger stock” in his books One Up on Wall Street and Beating the Street.

The term became very popular amongst investors because Peter Lynch gave practical examples of how companies that we use in the daily life like McDonalds, Dunkin Donut, Walt Disney, Ford Motor Co etc are great investment opportunities and give huge gains to shareholders.

The reference by Peter Lynch was to stocks which can give a return which is several times the investment made in them.

So, a stock which gives a gain of 200% and returns 300% of the investment becomes a 3-bagger. A stock which gives 10 times the investment is called a 10-bagger.

Meaning Of 100-Baggers

The concept of 100-baggers was made popular by Thomas Phelps in his book “100 to 1 In The Stock Market”.

Thomas Phelps referred to stocks which the potential to give 100x the investment made in them. Phelps gave several examples of such stocks and also gave a detailed explanation on the process that should be adopted by investors to find such stocks.

Penny Stocks, Micro-Cap & Small-Cap stocks

Generally, multibagger stocks are to be found in penny, micro and small-cap stocks. The reason for this is simple. These stocks have a smaller market capitalisation and find it easier to double and triple their net worth in a short while.

For, example a stock with a market capitalisation of only Rs. 100 crore can easily grow to a market capitalisation of Rs. 500 crore and give investors a 500% return.

In contrast, large-cap companies will find it very difficult, if not impossible to give multibagger returns to their shareholders.

Examples of multibagger stocks in India

There are several stocks in India which have given 10x and even 100x returns. Most of these stocks belong to the penny and small-cap space.

Caplin Point Laboratories is one example of a stock which has given a 10x return in a short period of time. Caplin Point manufactures pharmaceutical products and exports them to Venezuala and other Latin American countries.

Another example of a multibagger stock is Uniply Industries. The stock has attracted marquee investors like Radhakishan Damani, Ramesh Damani and Vallabh Bhanshali and has given a return of 1400%.

There are several other examples of stocks which have become multibagger and created huge wealth for investors. Stocks like Ajanta Pharma, Alembic Pharma, Mangalam Drugs, Intrasoft Technologies, Lanco Industries (Srikalahasthi Pipes), Shreyas Shipping, Page Industries, Hawkins Cooker, PI Industries etc are examples of such stocks.

How To Find Multibagger Stocks

Generally speaking, one has to hunt for such stocks in the penny, micro and small-cap space. Such stocks have a low market capitalisation which makes it easier for them to grow exponentially.

Moat

One has to find stocks that enjoy a moat from the competition. The moat can be in the form of a technological advantage or a marketing advantage. Basically, the company must be able to fend off competitors from laying stake to the market.

High RoE Companies

It is a common feature of penny and small-cap stocks which are growing fast that they will enjoy high rates of RoE. The RoE must be in excess of 20% to be attractive. The high RoE shows that the Company is growing in a profitable manner and that the growth is not coming at the cost of profits.

It is elementary that if a company does not make profit and instead suffers a loss, it will soon run out of capital and will have to go for liquidation and be wound up.

In fact, several companies in the e-commerce space have chased high growth at the cost of profits. Such a strategy is not sustainable in the long run and has resulted in the closure of these companies.

Examples of such companies are Local Banya, Tiny Owl, Grofers, Hola Chef etc.

Characteristics of multibagger stocks

The following are the salient features that all potential multibagger stocks display

(i) The Company offers a product or a service that is unique or innovative and for which there is a lot of demand and not much competition;

(ii) The size of the opportunity should be huge in relation to the size of the Company;

(iii) The Company should enjoy high profitability which will be reflected in the RoE levels;

(iv) The promoters should be highly committed and able to steer the Company to new heights through hard work and perseverance;

(v) The promoters must have the honesty and integrity to want to share the gains of the Company with the shareholders;

(vi) The Company should have low debt or be debt-free.

Humanity

Real Humanity:

Yes, seen a real humanity. 

Due to doctor appointment I was travelling to Chennai from Bangalore. All knows due to ongoing bangalore issues. No straight bus to bangalore. Took the bus to Attible (Karnataka Border), and crossed the border by walk. Lot of police in border both sides. 

It's really like entering into another country.  I have seen these kind of border crossing by walk in Indo-Nepal Border. So somehow, reached bangalore next day and walking from Nandanam Arts College to R.A. Puram (about 2 Kms, as no straight bus). 

Stopped into one Sugar Cane Juice shop, the shopkeeper was preparing juice in the machine. 

Suddenly heard a sound. When looking back, a middle aged man, fallen into road from Bike. But, his bad luck he fallen into road after hitting road divider. He really got hit in his head by divider and started bleeding. He got fits as well. All over his body is shaking. He was riding KA Scooter. 

So, people started gathering and helping him with Steel to stop his fits and one person teared his Dhoti to cover his bleeding wound. 

Sugar cane shop keeper stopped the squeezing machine, and started praying GOD.  He completely praying god for accident person.

Meantime, police from near by signal rushed and informed ambulance. At least his fits stopped, only bleeding from his head. Finally, ambulance reached spot he taken into hospital.

All over this incident, I have really seen humanity with almost everyone.

I could remember one incident, two years back when I was sitting behind my friend. One old man crossed road without looking road. My friend tried to stop the bike. But finally fallen into road. I got bleeding in forehead. No one in the road came near by. I was simply walking into road looking for hospital with bleeding all over the shirt.

It seems you were promised something before marriage, but got something very different after marriage. I’m sure you were hoping for a lovely, well tempered, caring woman to be your wife, but instead got a bipolar shrew who cared more about your money than you, or even your love. If you wonder what a shrew is; a bad-tempered or aggressively assertive woman.

The first thing you need to realize is that if you had stayed with her, your life would have been a nightmare, or worse, and if you had children, they too would have been miserable as well. Children would have have forced you to deal with this family forever, so if you have a god that you pray to, thank him.

Be grateful as well, that her your ex wife and her family were unable to control their true selves, and that they showed just how unstable, violent and dysfunctional they truly were as a family. Any love your ex wife claimed she had for you were lies, because I don't believe she is capable of love, or ever knew what love was, and maybe she never will. She is just like her mother, a manipulator, and you shouldn't feel bad about divorcing this unloving, unstable individual. Whenever you start to miss her, just think of her mother and understand that your wife would have ended up being just like her.

I could go through and dissect your short relationship, but it wouldn't make any difference, you got out and were saved a lifetime of this inappropriate drama and misery.

The best thing to do is to get rid of all the photos and other reminders of her and her family, and to erase them from your phone and all your social media. With nothing to remind you day to day, it will help you to forget them. Focus on your job, family and friends and do the things that you enjoy and that make you happy.

If you feel yourself thinking about this too much, remember that it was an arranged marriage of deceit, lies and possible infidelity, and that it was not the love marriage you wished for, hoped for or deserved. Every time you notice yourself struggling with this divorce, remember every nasty, hateful, violent, argumentative moment with her and her family, and be grateful it's over and you have your life back.

You need to understand something, there is a kind, gentle, loving woman out there for you, but if you become angry and bitter over your ex wife and this divorce, then your heart won't be open to her, or finding her. If you don't let things go, your ex wife will have you miss out on love, again.

If you feel you contributed to the problems in any way, just remember something, anything you did or didn't do, should or shouldn't have done, was as a result of their lies and their emotional imbalance. You can't be rational and sensible with irrational and unstable people. If you feel you have some flaws, then work to overcome them and become the person you wish to be, but you can't be responsible for this fiasco.

Time will heal whatever hurt you may have, even the embarrassment you have over this divorce, so be patient with yourself. Many people, myself included, have married someone believing them to be one thing, only to find out after marriage, they were in fact someone else and abusive. I was grateful to have left my ex, and more so when I met and married my current husband. Don't dwell on a past, one that was a lie, but focus instead on today and on a positive future with a deserving woman.

Don’t become jaded or mistrusting, just take more time to find out about a person. Don't marry anyone unless you know them, and don't believe love happens immediately. Love takes time to build and grow as does trust. Don't marry someone who cannot make a decision without running to her family, or if her family disrespects you and can't be civil. Don't marry someone who always sides with her family, especially when they're wrong, or if they've treated you unfairly or lied. While in laws will be part of your future, they must understand boundaries and limits and respect. In-laws may be older, but they're not always wiser or smarter, and you need to make them understand that you are an adult, a respectable man with a job, and deserving the respect as their future son in-law. Respect goes both ways as well, so if you want respect, then you need to give respect, and if they want respect from you, they must also show respect.

என்ன ஒரு புதுக் கவிதை தற்கால அரசியல் நிலைமை இதுதான்.

அறிவார்ந்தவர்களும், தன்னலம் துறந்தவர்களும், நாட்டு நலனில் நாட்ட முள்ளவர்களும், மாசற்ற தொண்டு மனம் கொண்டவர்களும் மட்டுமே ஒரு கால கட்டத்தில் அரசியல் உலகில் அடியெடுத்து வைத்தனர். 'தத்துவ ஞானிகளே தலைமையேற்று ஆளவேண்டும்!' என்று அறிவுறுத்தியவர் கிரேக்க அறிஞர் பிளேட்டோ. தனக்கென்று தனியாக ஒரு குடும்பம் இல்லாத மனிதர்களே தலைமைப் பொறுப்பேற்க வேண்டும் என்பது அவருடைய அழுத்தமான அபிப்ராயம்.

மனைவி, மக்கள், குடும்பம் என்று அன்றாடம் பாசத்தில் அலைக்கழிக்கப்படுபவர்கள் விரைவில் ஆசை வலையில் விழுந்து, தன் நிலை தாழ்ந்து, தான் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட லட்சியத்தில் இருந்து வெகுதூரம் விலகி,

காலநடையில் ஊழலின் உற்பத்தியாளர்களாக உருப்பெற்று விடுவார்கள் என்ற நியாயமான அச்சத்தினால்தான், நெருங்கிய உறவுகளை நெஞ்சத்தில் வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளாதவர்கள் மட்டுமே 'வையகத் தலைமை' கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று இயேசு பிறப்பதற்கு முன்பே விதியன்று செய்தார் பிளேட்டோ.

தத்துவம் என்பது உண்மையின் உருவம். உண்மையைத் தேடும் யாரும் பொய்யின் நிழலில் இளைப்பாற விரும்ப மாட்டார்கள். அதனால்தான், அதிகார நாற்காலியில் தத்துவஞானிகள் அமரவேண்டும் என்று ஆசைப்பட்டார் அந்த ஆதிச் சிந்தனையாளர். மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை நிர்ணயிக்கும் வல்லமை அன்று முதல் இன்று வரை அரசியலுக்கே உண்டு. அரசியல் சார்ந்த ஆட்சிக் கலையைத் 'தலைமை அறிவியல்' (Master Science) என்று அரிஸ்டாட்டில் வர்ணித்ததில் ஆழ்ந்த அர்த்தம் உண்டு. ஆனால், இன்று அனைத்தும் தலைகீழாக மாறித் தரம் தாழ்ந்துவிட்டன. அயோக்கியர்களின் கடைசிப் புகலிடமாக நேற்றிருந்த அரசியல் உலகம், இன்று சகல விதமான அயோக்கியர்களுக்கும் முதல் சரணாலயமாகிவிட்டது.

சந்திரமதி இல்லாமல் அரிச்சந்திரன் நாடகம் இல்லை. கள்ள மனிதர்கள் இல்லாமல் இன்று எந்த அரசியல் கட்சி யும் இல்லை.

சமூகத்தில் படிந்துவிட்ட சகல அழுக்குகளையும் அகற்றுவதற்காகவே உருவாக்கப்பட்ட அரசியலமைப்பே இன்று எளிதில் சுத்தப்படுத்த முடியாதபடி அடர்த்தியாக அழுக்கேறிக் கிடக்கிறது. துர்நாற்றம் வீசும் இந்த அரசியல் குட்டையைத் தூர்வார யாரும் இங்கே தயாராக இல்லை. அடித்தட்டு மக்களுக்கு இந்த நாற்றம் பழகிவிட்டது. மேல்தட்டு வர்க்கம் மூக்கை மூடியபடி முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டது. யார்தான் இந்த நாட்டு மக்களின் நிலை குறித்து யோசிப்பது? புழுத்துக்கிடக்கும் பொதுவாழ்வைப் புனிதமாக்க யாராவது சிலர் முன்வந்து சிலுவை சுமக்கத்தான் வேண்டும்.

ஒரேயரு இயேசு புறப் பட்டால், அதிகாரபீடம் எளி தாக அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்துவிடும். ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் சிலுவை சுமக்க வாக் காளர்கள் முன்வந்தால்... தவறு செய்பவர்கள் தலையில் சிரமமின்றி முள்மகுடம் சூட்டிவிடலாம். 'எது நடந்தால் நமக்கென்ன?' என்றா பகத்சிங்கின் பரிவாரம் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது? 'எரிகிற வீட்டில் எடுத்த வரை ஆதாயம்...' என்ற நோக்கிலா காந்தியப்படை அன்று அகிம்சைப் போர் நடத்தியது? சமூகப் பொறுப்பு உணர்வு உள்ள வர்கள் இனியும் மௌனப் பார்வையாளர்களாக இருத்தலாகாது.

அடிமை இந்தியாவில்கூட ஆயுதம் தேவைப்பட்டிருக் கலாம். சுதந்திர இந்தியாவில் அறவழி மூலம் அறப்போர் நடத்தியே ஆயிரம் மாற்றங்களை நாம் நினைத்தால் அரங்கேற்ற முடியும். முதல் மாற்றம் நம் விதியெழுதும் அரசியல் தளத்தில் நிகழ்வதற்கு வழிவகுக்க வேண்டும். 'தீமையின் வெற்றிக்குத் தேவையானது நல்லவர்கள் எதுவும் செய்யாதிருப்பதே' என்ற ஆங்கில அறிஞர் எட்மண்ட் பர்க் வாசகத்தை நாம் நெஞ்சில் நிறுத்தவேண்டும்.

அறத்தையும், அரசியலையும் நம் முன்னோர் கள் பிரித்துப் பார்த்ததில்லை. அரசியலறம் கூறுவதுதான் திருக்குறளின் பொருட்பால். 'அரசியல் பிழைத்தோர்க்கு அறம் கூற்றாகும்' என்கிறது சிலப்பதிகாரம். எந்த மனிதனும் ஆட்சித் தலைமையைத் தகுதியின்றி அலங்கரிக்க நம் மூதாதையர்கள் அனுமதித்ததில்லை. மகாபாரதம் சாந்தி பர்வத்தில் ஓர் ஆழ்ந்த அரசியல் செய்தி உண்டு. 'ஆள்வதற்காக அரசுக் கட்டிலில் அமர்ந் தவன் ஒரு தாயைப் போல் இருக்கவேண்டும். ஒரு கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்ணுக்குரிய தர்மமே அரச தர்மம். தனக்கு விருப்பமான உணவைவிட, கருவில் வளரும் குழந்தைக்குத் தேவையான உணவையே ஒரு தாய் ஏற்பாள். ஆட்சியாளனும் தனக்கு விருப்பமான செயல்களைச் செய்யாமல், மக்கள் நலனுக்கு உரிய காரியங்களில் மட்டுமே ஈடுபட வேண்டும்' என்று அம்புப் படுக்கையில் மரணத்தின் மடியில் சாய்ந்து கிடக்கும் பீஷ்மர், தருமனுக்கு அரசியலறம் உரைக்கிறார்.

'இந்திரன் வேள்விப் பொருளைப் பெற்று உலகைக் காப்பது போல், ஆள்பவன் மக்களிடமிருந்து வரியைப் பெற்று அவர்களை வாழச் செய்ய வேண்டும். உயிர் வளர்க்கும் காற்றை வாயு வழங்குவது போல், ஆட்சித் தலைவன் தீமையை அழித்து நன்மையை வழங்க வேண்டும். இருளகற்றி ஆதவன் ஒளியைப் பரப்புவது போல், அதிகாரம் செய்பவன் மறமகற்றி, அறத்தை நிலைநிறுத்தவேண்டும். காவலன் காலனைப் போல் தீயவரைத் தண்டித்து, நெருப்பைப் போல் தூய்மை காத்து, மழையைப் போல் மண்ணை வளப்படுத்தி, நிலவைப்போல் மக்களை மகிழச் செய்ய வேண்டும்' என்கி றது சுக்கிர நீதி.

சாணக்யன் தனது அர்த்தசாஸ்திரத்தின் ஆறாம் அத்தியாயத்தில், 'மக்களை ஆள்பவன் முதலில் தன் மனத்தை ஆள வேண்டும். காமம் என்னும் உட்பகையை வெல்ல அவன் புலனடக்கம் பழக வேண்டும்' என்கிறான். 'கனவில் கூட காமவசப்படல் ஆகாது. ஆணவம், பொய், தீமை தரும் சூழ்ச்சிகளை விட்டு விலக வேண்டும். அறம், பொருள், இன்பம் மூன்றையும் சமநிலையில் அனுபவிக்க வேண்டும்' என்று அரசு நடத்துவோர்க்கு அவன் அறிவுறுத்துகிறான். திருக்குறளும், சிலம்பும், பாரதமும், சுக்கிரநீதியும், அர்த்தசாஸ்திரமும் காட்டிய வழியிலா நம் அரசியல்வாதிகள் நடக்கிறார்கள்? அப்படி நடக்கவேண்டும் என்று மக்களே இன்று எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை என்பதுதான் அதிர்ச்சியூட்டும் அவலம். ஊழல் பேர்வழிகள் அதிகாரத்தில் இருப்பதுதான் நம் சொந்த நலனுக்கு உகந்தது என்று ஒரு சமூகம் நினைக்கத் தொடங்கிவிட்டால்... அதன் சரிவை யாரால் தடுத்து நிறுத்த முடியும்?

மறைந்த சட்டமேதை நானி பல்கிவாலா, 'இந்தியாவின் இன்றைய தேவை அளவற்ற சுதந்திரமில்லை; அதிகமான ஒழுக்கம்' என்றார். கொசுக்களின் கூடாரமாக, நோய்களின் இருப்பிடமாக, சதுப்புநிலக் காடுகளின் உறைவிடமாக இருந்த சிங்கப்பூரைத் தென்கிழக்கு ஆசியாவின் சொர்க்கமாக லீ குவான் யூ மாற்ற முடிந்ததற்கு அடித்தளம், அவர் கையாண்ட கட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்ட சுதந்திரமும், கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட மானுட ஒழுக்கமும்தான். நம் நாட்டில் தவறான சுதந்திரத்துக்கு எல்லையில்லை; ஒழுங்கீனத்துக்கோ அளவேயில்லை. 'நாடாண்ட அரசர்கள் சுகங்களைத் துறந்து, காடேகி அறம் வளர்த்தார்கள். சொந்த சுகங்களை மறுதலித்த அந்தப் பண்பு, இன்று ஏன் அரசியல் உலகில் அற்றுப்போனது?' என்று மனம் நொந்த பல்கிவாலா, 'நம் நாட்டின் அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டம் முதல் தரமானது. ஆனால், அரசியல்வாதிகள் மூன்றாம் தரமானவர்கள்!' என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

இந்தியாவில் சுதந்திரம் கண் விழித்து 62 ஆண்டுகள் கடந்துவிட்டன. இன்று உலகிலேயே அதிகமான ஏழைகள் உள்ள நாடு நம் இந்தியாதான். நாற்பது கோடி மக்கள் வறுமை இருட்டில் வாடுகின்றனர். இவர்களில் 75 சதவிகிதம் மக்கள் கிராமங்களில் வாழ்பவர்கள். நாட்டின் மொத்த மக்கள்தொகையில் 40 சதவிகிதம் பேர் கல்வி வெளிச்சத்தை இன்று வரை காணவில்லை. உலகிலேயே குழந்தைத் தொழிலாளர்கள் அதிகமாக இருப்பது இந்தப் புண்ணிய பூமியில்தான். மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டுக் குறியீட்டில் உலகின் 196 நாடுகளில் நமக்கு 127-வது இடம். இந்த லட்சணத்தில் நாம் விரைவில் வல்லரசாகப் போவதாக நம் அதிகார வர்க்கம் வாய்ஜாலம் காட்டுகிறது. வெறும் வார்த்தைகள், வரலாறு படைப்பதில்லை.

தங்கள் சொந்த சுகவாழ்வுக்காக மக்களைச் சுரண்டி, சுரண்டப்பட்டவர் களையே தொடர்ந்து தண்டிக்கும் நம் அரசியல்வாதிகள் எதற்காகவும் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை. 'எந்த நெறிமுறைக்கு உட்பட்ட சட்டத்தையும் அரசியல் அரங்கில் நான் ஏற்பதில்லை. அரசியல் ஒரு விளையாட்டு. அதில் எல்லா விதமான தந்திரங்களும் அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும். அரசியல் விளையாட்டில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களின் வசதிக்கேற்ப சட்டங்கள் வளைக்கப்படும்!' என்றான் ஹிட்லர். அந்த ஹிட்லரின் வழித்தோன்றல்களுக்குத்தான் நாம் இங்கே வழிபாடு நடத்தி வருகிறோம்.

நேர்மையின் நிறம் மாறாமல், நெறிசார்ந்து அரசியல் நடத்த 110 கோடி மக்களின் 543 நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும், ஆறரை கோடித் தமிழரில் 234 சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும் நமக்குக் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றால், எங்கே போகிறோம் நாம்?
